Phlebectomy
A particularly thickened and prominent varicose vein can be removed surgically through the process of a phlebectomy. A skin prick no bigger than an injection puncture is made, and, with the use of ultra-fine instruments, the vein is lifted through the skin and tied off.
The benefits of a phlebectomy:
- Minimal bruising
- Very little if any post-op pain or discomfort
